Norwegian music on RRR

Last Sunday, I co-hosted a slot on Melbourne’s premier community radio station, RRR. My good mate Luke Roberts had been filling in for Brendan Hitchens’ Bullying the Jukebox over summer and he asked me to come in for the last of his shows.
It was a good couple of hours, a late Sunday session. And particularly exciting, as it was my first time doing live radio.
Luke was steady on the controls and provided the local musical flavour, while I brought in some tunes from Norway. Don’t get an opportunity like that very often!
So what to do? -Bring a bit of everything.
My playlist included: Shining, Kollwitz, Kvelertak, Jaga Jazzist, Serena Maneesh, Le Corbeau, Hanne Hukkelberg, Susanna and the Magical Orchestra, Black Debbath and Satyricon.
For those who are interested (and have access to Spotify), you can hear my playlist here.
And here’s the video for Kvelertak’s “Mjød.” This band is a monster!
